Important marble statue "The Florentine Sculptor", Italy end of the XIXth century

Statue in white Carrara marble representing a young Italian sculptor holding a hammer and chisel in his hands, his heart at work and observing his work. His proud and dignified appearance is impressive. Sculpture in direct cut of very beautiful quality with a marble universally known for its whiteness and its almost inexistent veining. Signature of the sculptor G.Javilli and signed Firenze.
